resources with awesome potential. Even if teachers decide to not
implement any of these, interested students might find them useful.
Sorry If I leave out any classes, I'm not up to date on what's going
on back at WM. I listed language specific links to each site at the
bottom.
http://en.wikiversity.org/ Wikiversity is designed to be an online
shared learning community. It allows for shared editing of
informative content and encourages lesson oriented material to be
deveoped in what they refer to as "streams". It has resources
available for making quizes and tests as well as linking to other
online media. More than using it for what's already there,
Wikiversity could be useful as a place to post the material you teach.
Be careful of violating copyright of any teaching materials you are
already using, but definitely take a look and see if it could be
useful.
http://en.wikibooks.org/ Wikibooks is designed to be a wiki
textbook site. The books are more or less useful depending on the
topic. But again, its a Wiki so you're encouraged to add to and
improve what's already there.
http://smart.fm/home Smart.fm is a memorization tool and social
learning network. It allows for custom content lists and
automatically determines optimum study intervals for anyone learning a
list. Lists can be anything that has a prompt and response. The most
common item on a list is a vocabulary word, but you can use it to
learn just about anything. This site is INCREDIBLE. Search for
anything, if its not there, creating it is usually a breeze. I don't
know how good the non japanese/english writing support is, but I know
improving it is a priority. So even if your language's writing system
has poor support, it will probably be improving in the near future.
The other cool thing about this site is the networking aspect. You
can compete against each other and compare your study sessions.

If you think any of these sites looks really cool, and you want to use
it, but you don't know how. Feel free to drop me a line and I'll
break it down for you. I have internet skills like the mad hatter
drinks tea. Or something like that. Anyways, Hope something is
useful for you.
