New School Year!

Hello, Everyone!
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year!
We have exciting news. There is a new Exec board! If you want to contact them, you can email us here: ztw@hellowm.org.

We're back for another year of teachers, teaching, and language. And what languages, you may ask? We will be offering...

  • Portuguese
  • Esperanto
  • Korean
  • Bengali
  • Turkish
(and possibly Farsi)

We will also be looking into partnering with Temple Beth El, who are offering a once-a-week conversational modern Hebrew class. If you're interested, and we haven't been able to, or haven't gotten around to, partner with them, email them here! office@temple-bethel.org.

Want to know even more? Come visit us at the William and Mary Activities Fair! We will be at table 19 from 7-9 p.m. on August 24th. That's the night before classes start. We'll have business cards, posters, sign up sheets, and teachers hawking their language-wares!

But who will be teaching these fantastic classes? Easy. (please email ztw@hellowm.org for the teachers' emails)
Stephanie will be teaching Portuguese.
Nick will be teaching Esperanto.
Alex (and others) will be teaching Korean.
Abdullah will be teaching Bengali.
Suzan will be teaching Turkish.

If this is your first time looking into HelloWM classes, this is how they work:
The teacher will hold class in an academic building once a week, for about an hour, usually in the evenings or a weekend afternoon. Classes are not mandatory, so if you miss a class, there's no grade to worry about, but there's also no homework to catch you up. You may want to then email the teacher and get the information you missed.
There will be about 12 classes a semester!

Keep checking for more information (like class times and a full schedule and teaching materials and exciting things and information about exciting things like T-SHIRTS)!
